Salvation Army Clinic

What is the UK Salvation Army Clinic?

Serving Lexington's uninsured population since 1986, The UKSAC is a free clinic run by medical students from the University of Kentucky. Our mission is to assume a leadership role in improving the health and well-being of the uninsured adult population in Lexington by providing free medical services and increasing awareness of local health care resources.

  • All clinic staff—triagers, floor managers, interviewers, and physicians—are volunteers.
  • We see 8 adult patients per clinic night
  • We have three patient exam rooms, a small on-site lab area, and pharmacy
  • Free group smoking cessation classes are offered every Thursday beginning at 6:30pm
