In partnership with Western Kentucky University, Kentucky Wesleyan College, Campbellsville University, Lindsey Wilson College, and Murray State University, the University of Kentucky College of Medicine – Bowling Green Campus has developed Early Assurance Programs. These Early Assurance Programs are for academically excellent students who demonstrate the qualities of a competent and caring physician and have an interest in ultimately studying and practicing in the south central/western region of Kentucky. The Early Assurance Program is offered to students in the second semester of their sophomore year. Accepted students will receive assured admission to the University of Kentucky College of Medicine – Bowling Green Campus upon successful completion of the program requirements and graduation from their university.
If you are considering applying to the Early Assurance Program, it is critical that you check with the pre-medical advisor at your institution as early as possible to ensure that you are taking the required coursework and that you meet the GPA and other requirements.

The application is designed to be completed in one sitting, please allow 2 hours to complete all the required sections. Please note that you will need to maintain activity on the application page in order to prevent being logged off. (i.e. do not open the application, and then leave your computer for an extended period of time).
We suggest having the following materials ready before starting your application:
A PDF copy of your unofficial transcript—this can usually be downloaded from your institution’s student-hub webpage. You can also contact your campus Registrar to get a copy.
Application requirements include two professional references. One must be a science-department faculty member, the other must be a science/non-science faculty member who can speak to your academic, professional, and personal attributes. Individuals writing reference letters are encouraged to email a PDF copy of the reference letter, on university letterhead to Schyler Pentecost at firstname.lastname@example.org, if your letter writers prefer to mail your reference letters, please reach out to Schyler Pentecost.
