Center For Excellence in Medical Education

Since 1995 this Center has fostered excellence in medical education at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine through advocacy, faculty development, and the communication of educational innovation, research, and faculty accomplishments. Other goals include the development of community among educators and recognition of outstanding faculty achievement.

The major activities of the Center for Excellence in Medical Education include Faculty Development Workshop Sessions, Workshop Series, and Medical Education Grand Rounds. The Center also sponsors the Abraham Flexner Master Educator Awards Program.  The Center for Excellence in Medical Education is governed by a board of directors and an executive officer. The Center is advisory to the Dean of the College of Medicine and is supported by the Office of Medical Education.
